Chris Evans is an actor with quite a few acting achievements to his credit, but it's his body transformation that truly make him stand out from the rest. In 2020 he had a particularly large impact on the world when he appeared in the award-winning Captain America film. After the roll was done, he immediately began working out and getting into better shape, so much so that he received the Best Male Fitness award at the 2020 Arnold Classic Fitness Awards. But how does a hard core fitness enthusiast transform himself into a Hollywood physical beast? There are a few clues.
For starters, Chris Evans starts his morning with a light jog to start off his day. This alone will improve circulation and increase overall muscle mass. After jogging, the actor then moves onto a light-weight bench press, which helps build lean muscle mass. To round out the day's workout, he should perform calf raises, chest presses, squats, and dips.
Tom Holland, who plays the nerdy sidekick Harry Dean Potter in the Harry Potter films, has said that one of the things that keeps him motivated to do his workouts is because of the support of his co-stars. Having said that, Evans seems to have a particular connection with the Potter cast, namely with director/writer/actor Chris Evans. According to Entertainment Weekly, the director would often send Evans text messages during filming to get him going. Evans also said that having a trainer like Tom Holland to keep him on track is like having a personal doctor to help you stay on track.
Perhaps, the most famous male star of the Marvel series, Evans also said that he likes to have a good diet, and that's what he got from his nutritionist, Ellen Jolie. While no specifics have been given as to what types of foods he eats, if any, the actor said that his favorite American dish by far is barbecue. Not only is it American but it is also high in protein and low in fat. While the health claims may be exaggerated, as we all know, every man needs meat and potatoes as part of a healthy diet, especially in America, where every meal is essentially at least partially fast food. The only time Tom Holland didn't like American barbecue was when he was in the army.
But what about Chris Evans' workout? As it turns out, the actor said that his favorite part of the movie transformers wasn't the transformation (which may not have happened) but the actual workout. Yes, the Hollywood Machine built a transformer in Evans that was made even more appealing by his ripped abs and strong body language. Most of us already saw what a physical transformation can do for an actor. After all, anyone who spent six months on the Greek island of Hydra and then came back to prominence as a physical specimen fit into the Hollywood mold.
Evans has definitely had a workout designed for a superhero physique. He told Access Hollywood, "I am the best thing that has happened to my body since I started working out," he said. With his ripped abs and chiseled body, Evans fits right into the transformed package.
Evans' biceps and triceps are a sight to behold. If you've seen the ripped physique of stuntman Brie Larson, you know exactly what Evans looks like. And it's no accident that the two share a trainer, as their bodies inspire the same type of workout. It isn't strange to see actors with stellar physiques such as Chris Evans and Anne Hathaway, who are also role models for fitness models.
Whether it's Evans' ripped physique or Anne Hathaway's incredible physique, it is clear that Hollywood and role models have come a long way when it comes to sculpting their bodies. You don't have to live in the stone age to look like captain Marvel. You can simply work out every day and put in the hours necessary to get the desired look. With the right trainer by your side, you can get the look you've always wanted whether you're an action hero or simply a guy who wants to fit in.
